Job seekers have the opportunity to connect with representatives from Naperville area businesses, including the Naperville Park District, at the 2026 Community Job Fair immediately following the holiday season. The Community Job Fair, co-hosted by Naperville Park District and KidsMatter, will take place from 10AM to 1PM on Sat., Jan. 3, at Fort Hill Activity Center, located at 20 Fort Hill Drive.

This free event is intended for a variety of job seekers, from high school students (ages 15 and up) to senior adults.

“We encourage high school and college students seeking summer jobs to mark their calendars for this event,” said Katie Sepe, Director of Human Resources for the Naperville Park District. “The Community Job Fair is a great opportunity for students to plan their summer employment during their winter break.”

Opportunities for retirees & adults seeking part-time work

The 2026 Community Job Fair also will include employment opportunities for retirees and other adults seeking part-time work. The Park District offers park maintenance and golf course maintenance positions, which are ideal for individuals looking for a flexible schedule. Positions at Fort Hill Activity Center and in recreation programs often have flexible daytime schedules as well.

Annual event also provides tips for teens

“In addition to speaking directly with hiring managers, attendees will have the opportunity to get their resume reviewed, participate in mock interviews, receive information on financial literacy and visit with industry experts,” added Nina Menis, CEO and Executive Director of KidsMatter.

This year, the KidsMatter High School Board also will host two interactive panel discussions with business professionals across the 7 Illinois Career Pathways. Additional details regarding the panels will be provided closer to the event.
