Naperville Park District Report

Naperville Park District invites the community to celebrate the dedication of four new murals by artist Peter Thaddeus at Rothermel Family Skate Facility, located adjacent to Centennial Beach at 500 W. Jackson Avenue, at 5PM on Wed., Oct. 1, 2025.

The installation of the murals is a part of a partnership between the Park District and Max’s Mission – a nonprofit organization established by Jill and Ray Wijangco to honor the life of their son Max Wijangco, and to serve survivors of suicide loss. The purpose of these murals is to add beauty to the park, showcase the diversity and creativity of the skate community, and serve as a message of hope for those struggling with their mental health or a loss by suicide.

Max’s Mission provides support, education and resources to those affected by suicide loss by fostering a strong community where individuals can find hope, healing and connection in their grief journey.
