Celebrate Fall at Naper Settlement’s Oktoberfest: Live Music, German Fare & Festivities Oct. 3-4

Traditional German cuisine and beer will be overflowing in a giant heated tent at Naper Settlement’s annual Oktoberfest from 5-10PM on Oct. 3 and from 3-10PM Oct. 4. 

The event will include one of the largest Oktoberfest beer varieties in the area and German food from local restaurants and food trucks. Oktoberfest will feature an exciting music lineup featuring a mix of 90s hits, country, and lively polka. On Saturday, there will be a stein holding contest as well as a children’s area with activities for the entire family. For more information and tickets, visit NaperSettlement.org/Oktoberfest.

Friday, Oct. 3 – Live music and activities schedule:

  • 5:30-7:30PM – Music by Ed Wagner’s Lustige Blaskapelle
  • 8-10PM – Music by Polkaholics

Saturday, Oct. 4 – Live music and activities schedule:

  • 3-7PM – Children’s area with activities including bubble soccer, foot darts, and more from Chasers Laser Tag
  • 3-5PM – Music by Freeze Dried
  • 5-5:30PM – Stein holding contest
  • 5:30-7:30PM – Music by Hillbilly Rockstarz
  • 8-10PM – Music by Fool House (The Ultimate 90s Dance Party)

Naper Settlement will celebrate the community by offering authentic German cuisine and festival favorites from local vendors. Local and traditional beer selections will be available, including Hofbrau Oktoberfest, Spaten Oktoberfest, Alter Festbier, and Schlafly Pumpkin Ale. The event will also feature a variety of wine, including Z. Alexander Brown Pinot Noir and Schmitt Shone Dry Riesling.

“Our Oktoberfest is set to bring a variety of entertainment, live music, authentic German beer and cuisine, and more to the community,” said Adison Glick, special events senior team leader at Naper Settlement. “Whether you’re coming for the authentic German cuisine, the live music, or the stein holding contest, there is something for everyone to enjoy at this annual festival.”
