Naperville Art League Report

Naperville’s Riverwalk area along Jackson Avenue will be transformed into an outdoor art fair from 10AM to 5PM Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 20 and 21.

The 40th annual Riverwalk Fine Art Fair, hosted by the Naperville Art League, will offer original work by over 100 top artists from around the country. An array of mediums such as painting, sculpture, glass art, jewelry, ceramics, fiber art and more will be available.

Most of the above photos were taken Saturday morning. Note one of the red Landforms sculptures was taken before the Eagle Street Gateway construction was begun. The Landforms sculpture by sculptor Jack Arnold was a gift from the Naperville Art League to the community in 1984. The Eagle Street Gateway at Jackson Avenue is expected to be dedicated on Oct. 29, 2025. —PN

More than 40,000 attendees are expected. The annual fair is funded in part by a City of Naperville SECA grant. Naperville Art League has partnered with other area cultural organizations to provide live music, plein air art painting demos and children’s activities.

Remember, Jackson Avenue is closed between Main Street and Eagle Street this weekend.

Occasional signs remind visitors that the Naperville Irish Fest is also happening until 10AM Saturday in Central Park. And volunteers representing the Knights of Columbus are again passing out Tootsie Rolls for donations to benefit the K of C annual Intellectual Disability Drive.

Riverwalk Fine Art Fair is planned and hosted by volunteer members of the nonprofit Naperville Art League.
