Petition passing is now in progress until final filing date, Nov. 3, 2025, for the Primary Election on March 17, 2026.
Every signature on a petition along party lines helps a hopeful gain enough signatures to be placed on the Primary ballot. Every petitioner needs thousands of signatures.
From now through Nov. 3, 2025, volunteers will be collecting signatures on petitions. Filing petitions to legitimize a candidate will take place from Mon., Oct. 27, 2025, through Mon., Nov. 3, 2025. Once on the Primary ballot, campaigning begins. The Primary Election will be held Tues., March 17. Victors in the Primary advance to the General Election ballot.
The next General Election, a.k.a. “Mid-Term,” is set for Tues., Nov. 3, 2026. Thanks for getting to know the incumbents and their records before the election. And, of course, get to know the challengers and their positions, too.

Help voters learn issues in 2025 for 2026
PN welcomes candidates to provide opportunities to meet them at local free petition-signing events and/or upcoming fundraisers. It’s our pleasure to post “Meet & Greet the Candidate” events (coffees, ice cream socials, picnics, cookie exchanges, etc.) when submitted to stephanie@positivelynaperville.com.
Please note a few PN policies and procedures: Official candidate websites will be linked here online at no charge. We do not assume all candidates wish to be linked, so we ask that candidates request the connection as well as submit meet and greet events with contact info (not to be posted).
Only candidates running to serve Naperville residents in DuPage County; Will County; Springfield, Illinois; and Washington, D.C., will be listed. No endorsements will be included.
Also note that due to the ever-changing nature of membership requirements, hyperlinks and lack of accessibility to all, social media sites are not considered to be “official” websites by PN.
It’s our view that serious candidates will invest thought and time into an attractive well-managed website in order to showcase their biographies, platforms and links to social media; easily available for all voters to access around the clock via the internet. Thank you!
