Laurie Donahue, Board President

Dear District 204 Community,

The Indian Prairie School District 204 Board of Education is committed to a transparent and inclusive process in selecting our next superintendent. As part of this process, we partnered with Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates (HYA) to gather input from our community on the priorities and characteristics desired in the district’s next leader.

Over the past several weeks, HYA facilitated a comprehensive engagement process that included more than 30 meetings—ranging from one-on-one sessions and focus groups to community forums—along with a districtwide survey. This effort gathered feedback from parents, staff, students, and community members, providing valuable insights into the district’s strengths and the qualities stakeholders believe are essential in our next superintendent.

We are pleased to announce that the Superintendent Search Community Engagement Report is now complete and available for public review. The report summarizes the themes and feedback collected during this phase of the search and will serve as a guide for the Board as we move forward in the selection process.

You can view the full Leadership Profile Report here.

The Board of Education thanks everyone who participated in this important step. Your feedback is vital in helping us select a leader who will inspire, innovate, and empower the future of District 204.

The Board of Education has outlined the following timeline for the next phases of the search process:

  • October 10 – Last day for superintendent applications
  • October 22 – Board determines the list of semi-finalists
  • Early November – Board interviews semi-finalists and selects finalists
  • Early December – Finalist interviews and selection of the new superintendent

We remain dedicated to selecting a leader who reflects the values and aspirations of our District 204 community.

Updated Post, Sept. 23, 2025 / The Board has appointed Natasha Grover to fill the seat left vacant by Supna Jain.

Natasha Grover brings valuable experience to this role, having previously been appointed to the board in October 2018 and then elected to a four-year term in April 2019. She is a District 204 parent whose children have attended or attend Welch Elementary, Scullen Middle School, and Neuqua Valley High School. Ms. Grover is also familiar with the superintendent search process, having assisted in the hiring of Dr. Adrian Talley during her prior tenure on the board.

With the superintendent search now in progress, the Board felt it was important to appoint someone who could step into the role and contribute immediately to this critical work. Ms. Grover will serve until the April 2027 election.

Original Post, Sept. 17, 2025 / Board President’s Message: Congratulations to Supna Jain

Dear District 204 Community,

On behalf of the Indian Prairie School District 204 Board of Education, I want to congratulate Supna Jain on her appointment to the Naperville City Council which occurred at their September 16 City Council meeting. Ms. Jain has been a dedicated and passionate advocate for our students and families, serving on our board since 2021 and most recently as vice president.

Throughout her tenure, Ms. Jain has championed important initiatives focused on student mental health, academic excellence, and building strong community partnerships. Her leadership was instrumental in the district’s successful 2024 bond referendum, which will provide critical improvements to our schools for years to come.

While we will miss Ms. Jain’s thoughtful contributions to our board, we are excited to see her continue to serve the community in this new role.

With Ms. Jain’s transition, our board is reviewing policies and options for filling the upcoming vacancy. This process is especially important as we embark on one of our most significant responsibilities — selecting the next superintendent of District 204. We are committed to ensuring this process is handled with transparency and with the best interests of our students, staff, and community in mind.

We thank Ms. Jain for her service to Indian Prairie and wish her the very best as she begins this next chapter of public service.

Sincerely,

Laurie Donahue
Board President
Indian Prairie School District

Supna Jain
