The Naperville Sister Cities Foundation invites the community to the fifth year of the Hispanic Heritage Festival from 5PM to 9PM on Sat., Sept. 13, in Central Park, located in downtown Naperville.
Join the festivities to celebrate Mexican Independence Day and all Latin counties with a vibrant showcase of food, art and music. Admission is free of charge.
“Naperville Sister Cities has worked tirelessly to find unique cultural music by Mariachi Gavilanes, Folklorico Dancers, mixed with our local Naperville Municipal Band,” said Alan Lowe of the Naperville Sister Cities. “Enjoy food from local merchants with a sweet twist on Hispanic foods.”
This event is a wonderful opportunity to become immersed in diverse Hispanic culture and enjoy a variety of activities throughout downtown, including live Spanish genre music, dance, food with special events downtown.
“Let’s celebrate together and embrace the spirit of unity and culture!” said Patty Gustin, Chairwoman of the Naperville Sister Cities Foundation.
Plan to experience the rich diversity that Naperville has to offer while supporting cultural, educational, and business exchanges with its sister cities.
“Marquette Properties & Century 21 Team will be recognized for their years of support. Plus, the Naperville Sister Cities will be presenting awards in education, business and culture at this year’s event. This event is designed for all ages,” added Gustin.
“The Foundation and Commission partner with Nitra, Slovakia, Patzcuaro, Mexico and Cancun, Mexico, Naperville’s Sister Cities by facilitating cultural, business, and educational relationships between Naperville residents and our sister cities,” added Arun Mani, Chairman Naperville Sister Cities Commission.

The Naperville Sister Cities Foundation is a nonprofit committed to connecting Naperville and its citizens to other communities around the world.
