Note Centennial Beach Late-Season Hours And Other Changes in Schedules

The beginning of school days impacts hours of operation for Centennial Beach, the Paddleboat Quarry, Carillon Tours and splash pads managed by the Naperville Park District.

As summer draws to an end, Centennial Beach and other seasonal facilities prepare to switch to their late-season schedules. Due to the fact that the majority of the Beach staff will be returning to high school and college, the facility’s operating schedule will change during weekdays; weekend hours will remain the same through Labor Day.

The complete end-of-season schedule for Centennial Beach is as follows:

  • August 14: CLOSED
  • August 15: 4PM – 7PM (Open Swim)
  • August 16: 9AM – 10:55AM (Adult Float); 11AM – Dusk (Open Swim)
  • August 17: 9AM -10:55 AM (Adult Float); 11AM – 6PM (Open Swim)
  • August 18 & 19: 4PM -7PM (Open Swim)
  • August 20-22: CLOSED
  • August 23: 9AM -10:55AM (Adult Float); 11AM -Dusk (Open Swim)
  • August 24: 9AM -10:55AM (Adult Float); 11AM -6PM (Open Swim)
  • August 25-29: CLOSED
  • August 30: 9AM -10:55AM (Adult Float); 11AM -Dusk (Open Swim)
  • August 31: 9AM -10:55AM (Adult Float); 11AM -6PM (Open Swim)
  • September 1: 9AM -10:55AM (Adult Float – members only); 11AM -6PM (Open Swim)

The Paddleboat Quarry will begin its weekend-only schedule from 10AM to dusk starting on Sat., Aug. 16. Operations will continue through September as weather and staffing levels permit.

The Naperville Park District operates two splash pads: one at Wolf’s Crossing Community Park and one at the 95th Street Community Plaza. Both splash pads will be open from 9AM-8PM daily through Labor Day. Both splash pads will be closed for the year afterward.

Millennium Carillon in Moser Tower tours will continue its summer Friday-Sunday schedule until August 10. Afterward, tours will be offered on Saturdays and Sundays only. Tours will continue through September as weather and staffing allows.

When taking the Riverwalk to Moser Tower, the Skate Park, Centennial Beach, remember to walk your wheels to help keep all pedestrians safe. “Walk your Wheels” is an international initiative. Thank you.
