If you’re looking to put together an itinerary of things to do on Aug. 5, this Tuesday offers a schedule likely to keep all ages entertained with plenty to do—and the list doesn’t even include swimming at Centennial Beach, 500 W. Jackson Avenue, during its open hours from 11:30AM to 8PM.

Consider that Dine Naperville features more than 400 eateries throughout the City, and nearly 80 are in downtown Naperville. Whether breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner or sweet treats in between meals, local establishments are ready to please every taste.

Listen for the Ding! Ding! of the Naperville Trolley! / 10:30 or 11AM / Reserve a spot and climb aboard the Naperville Trolley on another Trolley Tuesday. First up, the 20-minute Kids Tour begins at 10:30AM. Then the Naperville Trolley departs on its one-hour historic tour of the City at 11AM. Carillon Concert at Moser Tower / At 7PM the community is welcome to hear the sounds of 72 carillon bells peal out the sound of familiar tunes during the weekly concert along the Riverwalk at Rotary Hill. This week’s concert will be performed by Jennifer Lory-Moran, a carilloneur from Ithaca, New York. FREE concerts welcome folks to bring blankets and sit-upons to enjoy the music.

Stargaze for Dog Days / After Dark / Stargazing gives individuals a sense of perspective that’s hard to find by day! No kidding! Simply feel grounded by looking up at the night sky from a dark place in the countryside. Every year, “Dog Days” is a reference to the star Sirius, which is the brightest star in the constellation Canis Major, and during Dog Days from July 3 through August 11, Sirius appears to rise with the Sun.
