At Loaves & Fishes Community Services, we believe no one should face hunger alone, and we know we can’t fight food insecurity alone. That’s why collaboration is central to the way we operate and to feeding the 10,000 people we serve weekly. By working closely with other local food pantries and nonprofit organizations, we are building a stronger, more resilient support network for our families in need.
Each month, Loaves & Fishes works closely with numerous partners across DuPage, Will, Kane and Kendall counties to expand access to nutritious food and vital resources. Through these partnerships, we are able to move donated goods quickly and efficiently getting resources into the hands of those who need them most while reducing waste and maximizing impact.
For example, one of our pantry collaborators is West Suburban Community Pantry. We regularly coordinate bulk food orders to reduce costs and better meet the rising need. Additionally, if one pantry receives more of a particular item that it can distribute in a timely manner, it’s quickly routed to the other, where it can be put to immediate use. This partnership has become a model of efficiency and trust, rooted in a shared commitment to serving our communities with dignity and compassion.
We are also proud to collaborate with many other organizations, including Hesed House, People’s Resource Center, Glen House Food Pantry, Elmhurst Yorkfield Food Pantry, Outreach House, DuPage PADS and more. Together, we are forming a regional safety net that makes a measurable difference in the lives of thousands of families.
These partnerships are more than just transactions, they’re a powerful expression of unity and hope. By working together, we are not only addressing the immediate need for food but also building the foundation for long-term transformation.
