Naperville Lustgarten Pancreatic Cancer Research Walk put on its 16th annual event on Sun., July 13, at the Riverwalk Grand Pavilion. Under the leadership of Jen Tedrow, this year’s goal was to raise $100,000.
The Walk Village opened at 8:30AM with a 10AM walk start from the Riverwalk Grand Pavilion, located at 912 Honorary Sindt Memorial Court.
When participants began arriving, the tally for fundraising already had topped $101,500.
Inspired by hope, roughly 500 individuals, all ages, and well-behaved dogs participated in the “Community United in the Vision to Transform Pancreatic Cancer into a Curable Disease.” Clad mostly in purple “Lustgarten Foundation” shirts, participants had the option of a 1.5 mile walk or 5K walk.
As these photos were being published in no particular order, $104,601 had been raised according to hope.lustgarten.org/event/naperville/home. Donations always are welcome. Organizers, past and present, provided a big thanks for all the team efforts and and individuals who supported this important fundraiser.
