With a forecast of sunny skies, the 16th Annual Lustgarten Foundation Naperville Walk for Pancreatic Cancer Research is set to begin with opening ceremonies at 9:30AM and step off at 10AM Sun., July 13, 2025, from the Riverwalk Grand Pavilion.

“We’re working hard to beat our goal, and expect a turnout at or exceeding last year,” said Chair Jen Tedrow, noting the walk also is a team effort, known for being “a family-friendly and pet-friendly event.”

“I got involved in the Lustgarten Naperville walk after my Dad passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2016,” said Tedrow, drawn to Lustgarten because 100% of donations go directly toward fighting pancreatic cancer.

Tedrow recalls attending her first Naperville walk in 2017—and she’s been involved as a planner of the event ever since. This Sunday, she said, her husband, Jason Tedrow, will serve as emcee.

Naperville residents Nayana and Sajni Gaonkar are returning for the third time to sing The National Anthem.

Tedrow added, “Last minute attendees are always welcome to come on out!”

Community Partners are growing

“We’re happy to have some new community partners coming out this year,” said Tedrow. “In addition to returning community partners Ulta, Pinot’s Palette, Texas Roadhouse, Naper A’s Model A Ford Club, Trader Joe’s and Bach to Rock, we’ll be welcoming Raising Cane’s, Casey’s Foods, Avocado Theory as well as Advance Performance Pain & Wellness Center. And Kona Ice will also be on site to offer treats for purchase.”

Just as pictured in 2024, supporters will take off again in 2025…

A year ago, a hot, humid and sunny Saturday afternoon provided folks from the Lustgarten Foundation time to assemble the stage, tents and other event features for the walk expected to attract dozens of teams with hundreds of participants on Sunday.

Just west of the Riverwalk Pavilion in 2024, the stage was set for presentations prior to hundreds of walkers taking steps along the Riverwalk. The 2025 opening ceremony takes place at 9:30AM Sun., July 13. (PN Photo)

Lustgarten Foundation’s Naperville Walk

Again, Lustgarten Foundation’s Naperville Walk provides survivors, patients, friends and families a day of hope, remembrance and action. Participate as a team or an individual to help raise funds for the goal of $100,000 locally.

This annual walk has grown step by step, year after year, always providing news of recent advances in research along with a community of support for many people affected by pancreatic cancer.

“And, of course, a big thank you to our sponsors State Farm – John Wright, Agent; Pinot’s Palette; Casey’s Foods; Rick Ferris Photography; Ulta Beauty; O’Hara Wealth Advisors – Ameriprise; and Trader Joe’s,” said Tedrow.
New “walk” signs for 2024 presented the new logo for Lustgarten Pancreatic Cancer Research.
