The restaurant scene is heating up this summer in Naperville! We’ve got lots of new restaurants downtown, Block 59 is ramping up, and tons of outdoor dining options are ready to help you make the most of summer. When you’ve spent all day at the pool, a game or a tournament, we have plenty of ideas for delicious summer dining!
Downtown has an exciting array of new arrivals, with favorites reopening and new exciting brands joining the list. Recent downtown openings include Avocado Theory (variety of dishes with innovative use of avocado), Lotus Banh Mi (scratch-made Vietnamese dishes), TemptInn (Indian-Italian fusion), Ichiddo Ramen (authentic Japanese ramen) and Viceroy Indian Cuisine (traditional Indian flavors).
Our “coming downtown soon” category includes the reopening of local favorite Rosebud, back after remodeling; and the former Bev’s location reopening with a new concept later this summer.
Exciting new names set to make their debut downtown soon include, Lennon’s (globally inspired small plates), Pronto Italian Sandwiches (authentic Italian sandwiches), U Sushi Club (rotary sushi bar) and White Sheep (breakfast and lunch with espresso, pastries, and boozy beverages).
Block 59 continues its transformation into a restaurant centric destination, with recent June restaurant openings including well-known, but new-to-this-area names: Cheesecake Factory, Stan’s Donuts, and First Watch. Later this year we will see more Block 59 additions including, Piccolo Buco, a delightful Italian concept by Cooper’s Hawk; Velvet Taco; FreshFin Poké; Crisp & Green; Yard House and Cava.
We also cannot overlook one of our favorite parts of summer: outdoor dining! Take advantage of outdoor terraces and charming ambiance at places like Vai’s, Fiamme, Meson Sabika, Katrina Latin Bites and Bar, and Vasili’s.
Plus, we’re looking forward to the exciting addition of a brand-new patio at Entourage, coming soon!
Your furry friends can even join you on the patio at spots like Lazy Dog, Fat Rosie’s, Quigley’s Irish Pub and Tapville Social.
