At the Western DuPage Special Recreation Association (WDSRA), we believe that summer camp is more than just a place to go—it’s where memories are made, confidence is built, and friendships flourish. With five unique camps running Monday through Thursday, plus three weeks of Friday Field Trips and three weeks of Extended Camp, WDSRA is gearing up for a season full of energy, adventure, and discovery.

By the end of the summer, campers will have explored dozens of exciting destinations—from local pools to community gems—and participated in countless hours of play, creativity, and social connection. But behind every splash in the pool, every high-five on the playground, and every smiling face is a team of dedicated staff and a community of supporters who make it all possible.

Summer camps seamlessly extend beyond the school district’s summer schedule and include transportation.

Many WDSRA campers require one-on-one support to thrive in the camp environment. These individualized services are provided at no extra cost to families—just the standard camp fee. This means we often have nearly a 1:1 staff-to-camper ratio, a level of support that ensures campers have the attention and assistance they need to enjoy a full, inclusive summer experience.

But exceptional care and creative programming require more than just heart—they require resources.

That’s where the Camps Gift Catalog comes in. This initiative gives the community a way to directly support campers by funding the tools and experiences that make summer magical. Whether it’s sponsoring a day of camp for $34, providing one-on-one support for $90, or supplying an arts and crafts activity bag for $25, every donation goes straight to work creating meaningful moments for our campers.

Summer camps, designed for ages 6-21, offer a blend of sports, games, crafts, swimming, and a whole host of other fun activities.

With over a dozen ways to give, there’s an opportunity for everyone to be part of something special. Your contribution helps us fill each day with laughter, learning, and unforgettable experiences.

Let’s make this summer one to remember. To explore giving options or to make a donation, visit the Camps Gift Catalog at wdsra.com/wdsra-foundation.

Together, we can keep the adventures going and ensure every camper has a summer filled with joy.
