June Events at Naper Settlement

Naper Settlement, an outdoor living history museum, is open Tuesday-Saturday from 10 AM-4 PM and Sunday from 1-4 PM with general museum admission $12 for adults (13+), $10 for seniors (62+), and $8 for youth (4-12). Naperville residents with proof of residency, children under 4, and members receive complimentary admission.

Downtown Naperville Architecture Walking Tour

5:30-6:30 PM Thursday, June 5

Learn about the important and interesting architecture from the 1800s to today that makes downtown Naperville a beautiful place to live, work, and play. (60 minutes and covers about two miles) Open to all ages. Pre-registration is required.

Saturday STEM Drop-In Program

Dive into the world of science, technology, engineering, and math at Naper Settlement’s Saturday STEM Drop-In Program! Each week brings a new hands-on activity or experiment designed to spark curiosity and inspire young minds. This program is perfect for families looking for fun and educational weekend adventures.

Your Friendly Neighborhood Historian – Community Conversations: Illinois Mosaic

Illinois Mosaic is the second meeting in Naper Settlement’s Community Conversations series funded by the Illinois Humanities. Participants will read two compelling stories about immigration and the journeys that brought individuals to America. Through these narratives, participants will reflect on their own personal journeys and explore the threads that connect our diverse experiences. Join Naper Settlement to celebrate and discover how our individual stories form a shared community mosaic. Teachers will earn one hour of professional development credit for participating in this program.

Sensory Friendly Saturdays

Visit Naper Settlement for Sensory Friendly Saturdays, where families can explore the museum’s historic grounds in a calm and welcoming atmosphere. Enjoy hands-on activities and sensory stations designed for those with sensory sensitivities.

The Great Decoding Escape Room

Available at 10:30 AM, 12 PM, or 1:30 PM Sat., June 14

The year is 1915 – the second year of the first World War. You and your party are cargo shipping analysts for the Great Lakes Naval Intelligence Office. They need your help in figuring out where to land an Allied ship full of secret cargo. Good luck with your mission! Recommended for ages 12+.

Naperville Cemetery Walking Tour

Naper Nights Community Concert Series

5-10 PM Friday, June 20 & Saturday, June 21

Get ready for a summertime tradition that features cold drinks, great food, and incredible music! The Naper Nights Community Concert Series will feature high-energy music performances paired with local food and beverages plus a children’s area with activities guaranteed to keep the entire family happy and rocking out. On June 20, enjoy a tribute to Jane’s Addiction by Nothing’s Shocking (8-10 PM) and a tribute to The Flaming Lips by Sun Stereo (6-7:30 PM). June 21 will include a tribute to Willie Nelson & Waylon Jennings by WailOn (8-10 PM) and a Chris Stapleton tribute by Tennessee Whiskey (6-7:30 PM).
