Naper Settlement’s Naper Nights, a cornerstone of live music in Naperville, includes three summer weekends with two back-to-back days of live music. Themed tribute concerts showcase a different genre each night with the perfect summertime combination of live music, cold drinks, great food, and a fun atmosphere!
Of particular note this year, WAR performs at Naper Settlement on July 19 to celebrate 50 years of their 1975 multi-platinum album, Why Can’t We Be Friends.
River Sounds is an exciting new addition to Naperville’s summer music scene right on the Riverwalk, bringing the community together over music and the magic of the river! Each Tuesday at 6:30PM, beginning June 17, local musicians perform relaxed acoustic sets from Jaycees Park (Riverwalk north of City Hall).
The second act begins at 8:15PM with artists performing acoustic sets from a boat secured on the river. Enjoy the sounds of a diverse array of artists floating across the water, enhancing your picnic or after-dinner stroll.
At 7:30PM Thursday nights beginning June 5, you’ll find Naperville Municipal Band’s Summer Concert Series at Central Park, presenting 11 weeks of familiar crowd-pleasing favorites. A love of music shines through these lively performances at a location perfect for family picnics.
Naperville Park District hosts a wide variety of free music performances throughout the summer, including Concerts in Your Park, Sunday nights in neighborhood parks; Children’s Lunch Hour Entertainment, Tuesday afternoon performances for kids and families; and Summer in the Parks, a partnership with Brightside Theatre featuring songs from Broadway musicals.
Naperville Jaycees’ Last Fling brings an iconic close to summer with a combination of music, food, and fun on Labor Day weekend. Popular bands and entertainment acts from all over perform on two different stages for four days of music and family fun.
