Update, May 15, 2025 / The Naperville Police Memorial is set under blue skies. A member of the Honor Guard will take a place at 9AM. A coffee truck will arrive at 9:30AM. The observance of National Police Week will begin promptly at 10AM.

In Naperville, special time to honor and to support individuals who protect this community is planned at 10AM Thurs., May 15, at the Peace Officer Memorial in the Public Safety Center, 1350 Aurora Avenue.
The Naperville CAPS (Citizens Appreciate Public Safety) banquet honoring police department employees is at 6PM Thurs., May 15, in the Pavilion at Meson Sabika. Tickets are $45. Find more information under “events” at napervillecaps.com.
Unrelated to National Police Week, “Cop on a Rooftop” to benefit Special Olympics Illinois happens to be that same week. From 5AM to 10:30AM Fri., May 16, members of the NPD staff will be at the 1580 W. Ogden Ave. Dunkin’. That’s the Dunkin’ on the east side of Ogden, between Jefferson and Aurora avenues.
