The Naperville Noon Lions have announced their support of the City of Naperville and NEST (Naperville Environment & Sustainability Taskforce) in conducting a Styrofoam Recycling event. The following Styrofoam items will be collected: Rigid Styrofoam packaging and containers; Clean Styrofoam cups, clam shells, and meat trays.
The following items will NOT be accepted: Brown polyurethane foam; Flexible/squishy polyurethane foam; Packing peanuts (Take to UPS); Blue building insulation; Dirty, and food-contaminated items.
In addition, the Lions will be collecting: Glasses, Phones, Running shoes, Key fobs, Keys, Brass, Hearing aids, Printer cartridges.
Assisting with the city recycling event is just one of the ways the Naperville Noon Lions volunteer to give back to the community.
Individuals who would like to find a way to give back to the community are welcome to visit a Lions club meeting. The Noon Lions gather the first four Tuesdays of each month at noon for a luncheon meeting at the Pomegranate Restaurant, 55 S Commons Dr, Aurora, IL.
Members of the Naperville Noon Lions enthusiastically welcome visitors to all meetings, noted the club’s publicist Dianne Morr.
