Updated Post, April 23, 2025 / The Memorial Day Parade Committee is grateful to all Veterans, Veterans organizations and marching bands for registering to participate in the annual parade. This special red, white and blue day is set aside to pay tribute to American military personnel and their families who gave the ultimate sacrifice for this nation.

In addition to Veterans and marching bands, local scout groups of all ages and their leaders are welcome to march, holding banners provided that honor the fallen, noted Parade Chairman Leo Jaime.

Registration to participate ends May 1. Simply apply via the website at www.napervillememorialdayparade.org.

Original Post, March 31, 2025 / The Memorial Day Parade Committee, comprised of members of the American Legion Post 43, Judd Kendall VFW Post 3873, Naperville Municipal Band and community members, has announced that registration for marching bands, scouts, Veterans’ organizations and community groups to participate in the annual Memorial Day Parade is now open at www.napervillememorialdayparade.org.

The deadline to enter is Thurs., May 1, 2025, noted Leo Jaime, Past Commander of the Judd Kendall VFW Post and Chairman of the 2025 Naperville Memorial Day Committee.

Naperville resident Paul Hinterlong is coordinating arrangements for vintage vehicles to be featured in the parade, providing transportation for Veterans unable to walk the entire route. Owners of antique cars, trucks or jeeps will be honored to present a local Veteran, sporting a plaque with the individuals’ branch of military service and years served.

As is tradition, beginning at 10:30AM on Memorial Day, this year Mon., May 26, the Naperville Memorial Day Parade officially will step off from Jackson Avenue and West Street to pay tribute to those individuals who have made the ultimate sacrifice while serving in the military. The parade then heads east to Washington Street, north to Benton Avenue, and east toward the Ss. Peter and Paul parking lot.
