Look up! Watching peaceful clouds transform into animated images against a bright blue sky always has been a wonderful way to while away time and to keep looking up, no matter what campaign season. Early Voting / 8AM to 7PM / Go to the polls to cast a ballot in the nonpartisan local Naperville Consolidated Election. Vote early especially before travels during Spring Break. Voting booths will be set up at the Naperville Municipal Center, 400 S. Eagle Street. Early Voting polls will be open daily until Election Day, April 1. Hours are 8AM to 7PM Weekdays and 9AM to 5PM Saturday and Sunday. Election Day hours are 6AM to 7PM.

2025 Naperville Memorial Day Parade Sign-Up Now thru May 1 / 24-7 / All Veterans’ organizations and marching bands are welcome to register online for the annual Memorial Day Parade stepping off at 10:30AM on Mon., May 26, throughout downtown Naperville. All registrations must be set by May 1, 2025.

Judd Kendall VFW Friday Night Fish Fry / 4:30PM to 7:30PM at Judd Kendall VFW – 908 Jackson Ave., Naperville, IL 60540 / The Judd Kendall VFW Post 3873 will host its Friday Night Fish Fry beginning at 4:30PM Friday evenings through April 18, 2025. Draft Picks in Naperville again will cater the popular menu. Four pieces of fish and fries will be served for $15 a plate. For another $5, add a slice of pizza or shrimp. A cash bar will be available. Also, enjoy tasty treats offered in the bake sale.

The retail resale shop accepts donations of clean, quality clothing (especially winter wear), household items, bedding and jewelry when the shop is open 10AM to 5PM Monday thru Saturday. Observance of National Vietnam War Veterans Day / 10:30AM / Join Veterans, family, friends and neighbors on Sat., March 29, to remember National Vietnam War Veterans Day. Once again this community will unite to thank and honor Vietnam veterans and their families for their service and sacrifice. The ceremony will take place at Veterans Park, 303 E. Gartner Road. In addition to the ceremony near the Veterans Park monument, the observance will include a moment of remembrance at the Gold Star Families Memorial, also in Veterans Park, that faces the service flags and the message, “Let peace and beauty be found here: Remember those who have served us well.”

Also if time permits while visiting downtown Naperville to shop and dine, the Riverwalk welcomes folks to the city’s natural treasure where can-do spirit is on display from the Jefferson Avenue Bridge to the Hillside Road Bridge, all along the path of serpentine-shaped bricks.

City Council meets Wed., April 2, 2025

Looking ahead, remember that the City Council meeting usually scheduled on the first Tuesday of the month (2025 Consolidation Election Day) will begin at 7PM Wed., April 2, in Council Chambers at City Hall, 400 S. Eagle Street.

Also, Wednesday is World Autism Awareness Day, recognizing that all of April is Autism Awareness Month. During the City Council meeting, Mayor Scott Wehrli will present a Proclamation to many local organizations that provide much-needed services in the community.
