On Thursday, March 6, at approximately 2:30AM Naperville Police were dispatched to a report of a burglary in progress at a smoke shop on the 1500 block of W. Ogden Avenue. The caller reported hearing a crashing sound and then witnessing two subjects dressed in black running away from the store.

Responding officers discovered broken glass at the business and quickly located the subjects near the area of Jefferson Avenue and Georgia Court. The preliminary investigation indicates that one subject, identified as Elija I. Castillo, 20, of the 600 block of Cass Street in Joliet, allegedly threw a rock through the window and entered the business.

It is alleged that as he was leaving the business, he dropped some items allegedly taken from the shop, which were picked up by the second subject, identified as Jason P. Crumpacker, 20, of the 100 block of Testa Drive in Naperville, before both ran from the area.
Naperville Police arrested Castillo and Crumpacker. Each is charged with one count of Burglary, a Class 2 felony.
The Naperville Police wish to remind the public and the news media that a charge is merely an accusation, and a defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
