“For those of you who couldn’t make it out to The Salvation Army / Chicago Wolves Service Night, the following photos can be used in coverage of our blanket-making event,” noted Brian Duewel, Director of Communications, for The Salvation Army.
“More than 250 volunteers put together more than 150 blankets that were brought to Freedom Center Saturday night,” Duewel added.
Photos show that Skates, the Chicago Wolves team mascot since 1994, was there to help, too. Skates is known for spending time in the community, raising funds for charities such as The Salvation Army and meeting fans.
Following completion of the service project, volunteers were welcomed to watch the Chicago Wolves take on the Iowa Wild in the Allstate Arena.
All attendees at the Feb. 22, 2025, hockey match in the Allstate Arena in Rosemont had a chance to learn about the special “acts of service project” coordinated by The Salvation Army. The blankets will be distributed immediately to families in need.
