WDSRA: Making an Impact in 2025

-

Make a Difference in 2025

As we begin the new year, we all have a fresh opportunity to craft a vision for the months ahead. It’s a time to dream big, set intentions, and ask ourselves how we can make a positive impact—not just in our own lives but in our communities as well.

If 2025 is your year to embrace purpose, connection, and action, we at the Western DuPage Special Recreation Association (WDSRA) have a few inspiring ways to help you make a difference this year.

Volunteer: Share Your Time, Transform a Life

Looking to make life more meaningful? Volunteering with WDSRA is a fulfilling way to directly impact the lives of individuals with special needs. Whether you’re assisting with a sports program, dancing alongside participants at one of our special events, or lending a hand behind the scenes, your time and effort create opportunities for others to thrive.

What makes volunteering with WDSRA so special? It’s tailored to fit your interests and availability. Whether you can give a few hours one time or commit to a longer-term role, we’ll help you find the perfect match. Together, we can create moments that matter.

Work With Purpose: Part-Time Roles That Fit Your Life

Think you don’t have time for a second job? Think again. WDSRA offers flexible part-time opportunities that align with your passions and schedule. Commit as little as four hours a week to assist in one of our programs, and you’ll not only earn some extra income but also be part of a supportive team making a tangible impact. (Training and mentorship is provided).

From coaching sports to leading arts programs, every role contributes to enriching lives and building stronger community connections. Share your skills, ignite your passions, and create unforgettable experiences—for yourself and for others.

Amplify the Mission: Spread the Word

Not everyone knows about the life-changing work happening at WDSRA. That’s where you come in! By sharing our mission, events, and opportunities on social media or in your personal networks, you can help us reach individuals and families who might not yet be aware of what we offer.

Do you know someone with special needs who could benefit from social or recreational programs, a parent searching for community resources, or a friend looking for volunteer opportunities? Introduce them to WDSRA, and you could open the door to new possibilities and lifelong connections.

A Ripple Effect of Kindness

At WDSRA, we believe every small act—a few hours donated or a social media post shared—creates ripples of positive change. Together, these ripples form a wave of support that empowers individuals with special needs, enriches lives, and strengthens our community.

If you’re ready to make a difference in 2025, WDSRA is here to help. Call us at 630-681-0962, explore opportunities on our website at www.wdsra.com, and join us in making a difference in 2025.
