Magical Starlight Theatre, a Naperville Park District program, presents its January 2025 production, Cinderella, the weekends of January 10-12 and 17-19 at Naperville Central High School, located at 440 Aurora Ave. The cast of Cinderella has been working hard since early October and is looking forward to sharing the magical tale with the community.

“It’s a good two hours of just leaving life for a little bit and enjoying a fantasy,” said the show’s director, Matt Colbert. “It gives the audience time to just take a breather and enjoy an alternate reality.”

The classic story of Cinderella tells the tale of a pure-hearted girl named Ella, someone who treats everyone with kindness despite her unfair treatment from her stepmother, Madame. Ella’s good nature is rewarded when she is transformed into an elegant young lady by her Fairy Godmother and gets the opportunity to meet her Prince at the ball. Nicole Zralka, cast as Ella, is excited to show the community her interpretation of the iconic princess.

“It was my first show I really did, and it is my favorite show,” Nicole remarked. “She was my favorite princess. I always wanted to play her part because her songs were just so nice and quintessential princess.”

This will be Nicole’s debut production with Magical Starlight Theatre. She has previous experience with other community theaters as well as taking voice, acting and dance classes in college.

“Everybody is doing so good,” Nicole said. “They are really good at singing, acting and dancing, and it’s a really well-rounded cast. I think everybody should come see the show!”
