As we close another impactful year, we are filled with gratitude for the support that has empowered Loaves & Fishes Community Services to uplift thousands of families across DuPage, Kane, Kendall, and Will counties. Together, we have reached extraordinary milestones—serving over 10,000 individuals weekly, marking a significant increase from prior years. This season of giving and celebration is especially meaningful, as it coincides with Loaves & Fishes’ 40th anniversary.
Since opening our Food Distribution Hub three years ago, we have transformed the way we support our community. Through a “hub-and-spoke” model, we’ve tripled our clients served, scaled our operations, and reduced the cost to serve our clients by 40%. We have extended our reach across 12 spoke locations in our four-county service area, alongside our flagship Naperville Grocery Market. This model doesn’t just provide food; it brings hope and a sense of community, reminding every individual they are not alone during challenging times.
Our CARES Programs continue to support families with critical resources and emergency assistance, a lifeline for many as they navigate financial hardships. These programs address essential needs, from rent and utilities to job coaching and mental health services, creating a foundation for self-sufficiency. The growing demand underscores the value of our work and the shared commitment that drives us forward.
Looking back, we recognize the many people who have supported this mission. Our dedicated volunteers, compassionate donors, and community partners are the heart of Loaves & Fishes. Every act of kindness, every volunteer hour given, and every dollar shared strengthens our efforts to serve those facing food insecurity in our community.
As we move forward, we are filled with hope, knowing that, with your continued support, we can meet any challenge. Thank you for your unwavering generosity, which keeps our mission alive. Together, let’s embrace the new year with compassion, purpose, and a renewed commitment to nourishing lives and building a stronger community.
