Update, Oct. 13, 2024 / In addition to 100 percent of sales at Mesón Sabika to be donated to the World Vision disaster relief operation for the victims of Hurricane Helene, Rotary District 6450 will collect items for Asheville Distribution Point & Spruce Pine in North Carolina throughout the day on Tues., Oct. 15.
According to Rotary District 6450 Foundation Chair Chuck Corrigan, the community is welcome to donate supplies to be sorted and prepared for shipment to hurricane ravaged communities. Simply bring needed items listed to Mesón Sabika between noon and 5PM. (Target ship date for North Carolina is October 23 or 24 to be accepted by Rotary contacts in North Carolina.)
Supplies needed: Batteries, flashlights, lanterns, sleeping bags, blankets, towels, tarps, rope, work gloves, duct tape, extension cords, charcoal and coolers, wash tubs / Coffee creamer, powdered milk, baby food, baby formula / Bleach, laundry detergent, wipes, soap, shampoo / Winter hats, gloves, wool socks, N95 masks.
