According to TractorData.com, the 1953 Ford NAA “Golden Jubilee” pictured here was released as part of the 50th anniversary of the Ford Motor Company. The 1953 model (production began in September 1952) had a special nose badge noting the anniversary, as Annette Wehrli was quick to point out during the annual Father’s Day Car Show in downtown Naperville.

The utility tractor was built in Highland Park, Michigan. A total of 128,965 were built and the original price was $1,560 in 1954. According to tractor auction sales featured online, the “Golden Jubilee” might sell for double that amount today.

On exhibit with green John Deere and red International Harvester and Case IH legacy tractors at the car show, the 1953 Ford NAA “Golden Jubilee” will be featured in the Naperville Labor Day Parade, ready to roll at 10AM Mon., Sept. 2.
Best known as the Naperville Trolley Chick, look for Wehrli high in the seat behind the wheel of the Ford tractor. Look for Naperville Trolleys in the parade, too. Ding! Ding!
