As we move into August in the last third of this summer season, we make preparations to celebrate “National Night Out Day” on the 6th. While we encourage citizens and neighborhoods to partake, Century Walk would also suggest that the other nights of the month, in particular the 8th and the 15th are also nights to spend “out” – at the Community Concert Center.
Because on those Thursday nights the Naperville Municipal Band will be on stage performing its final 2024 Concerts: “Celebration of the Big Band” and ”School Days,” respectively.
They begin at 7:30PM and we suggest that you get there early not only to get a good seat but also to see “The Great Concerto” mural (No. 27 of our Collection) before it is raised for the concert and try to identify any of the 51 portraits of community members in the crowd that helped to raise funds to commission funds for this public art.
