WDSRA: The heart of summer camps

-

Summer is here, and our camps are buzzing with excitement.

As we embark on another vibrant summer season, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the incredible team behind our camps. To the over 75 dedicated staff members who bring enthusiasm, care, and unwavering commitment every day… THANK YOU!

Your hard work and passion are the driving forces behind the joyful and transformative experiences our campers enjoy. Your efforts in creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment are truly appreciated, and you are the backbone of a fantastic summer filled with growth, discovery, and countless cherished memories.

Camp is more than just a break from school; it’s a season of transformation and joy for children, teens, and young adults aged 6-21. With five different camps and ten sections, (running Monday through Thursday), Friday Field Trips, and Extended Camps, days are packed with games, crafts, swimming, sports, and more. Our camps will visit 60+ locations this summer, including camp sites, pools, and field trip spots.

The way staff share our commitment to inclusivity makes our camps so special. Camp staff provide a supportive environment where every child can explore new interests and thrive. They make sure that every child can fully engage in activities tailored to their unique abilities.

Camp staff keep kids active while helping them learn, explore, and discover their potential while creating lasting memories. Every camper receives the attention they deserve. With personalized support, staff nurture their confidence and independence.

Running these camps is no small feat though. With many campers requiring personalized one-on-one support, the demand for resources – materials, supplies, and dedicated staff – is substantial. We strive to provide these essential services and ensure every camper’s experience is enriching and fulfilling.

Community support is greatly appreciated. Donations through our Camps Gift Catalog make a real difference, enhancing every camper’s experience and enriching our community with inclusion and possibility.

To our amazing staff, THANK YOU once again for your dedication and hard work. You are the heart and soul of our camps, and we couldn’t do it without you!
