Under the leadership of Emily Binder, band fans of all ages were welcomed to the second Naperville Municipal Band concert of the season in Central Park on Thurs., June 13.
Kids joined in a Teddy Bear Parade, and had a chance to take to podium and conduct the NMB on stage.
What’s more, District 203 Eighth Grade Scholarship Awards were presented as were three Dr. Ron Keller College Scholarships to Music Education students.
The Naperville Municipal Band Summer Concert Series runs Thursdays at 7:30PM through August 15.
One exception is Wed., July 3, when the band performs its annual Independence Day concert complete with Civil War reenactors and cannons to accompany the 1812 Overture. The live cannons are a blast!
(Dog owners might want their pets to stay home on July 3.)
