Naperville Noon Lions kick off summer raffle fundraiser

-

June 1 marks the start of ticket sales for the 2024 Naperville Noon Lions Summer Raffle. This annual raffle is the second largest fundraiser the Lions conduct with the proceeds used to help children and seniors in the Naperville area receive vision and hearing help they otherwise could not afford.

The raffle prizes will be awarded to four lucky recipients in the amounts of $5000, $2000, $1000, and $500.

Raffle tickets will be available for purchase from Lions members through Labor Day. The drawing will be held the Tuesday after Labor Day. The cost of tickets are: one for $10, 3 tickets for $25, 7 tickets for $50, and 15 tickets for $100.

Lions will be selling tickets throughout the summer at the following locations:

  • In front of Buikema’s Ace Hardware on North Washington Street all day on June 8 and June 25.
  • In front of Casey’s Foods in the Gartner Plaza all day on June 9.
  • More sales locations will be added throughout summer until Labor Day, Sept. 2.

“So be on the lookout for Lions in front of local businesses,” suggests Noon Lions Club member and publicist Dianne Morr.

Naperville Noon Lions Summer Raffle tickets also may be purchased at the Lions website, napervillenoonlions.org.

An ombudsman is Scandinavian in origin dating back to Viking times; and refers to a community representative; usually acting independently on behalf of an organization, body of elected officials, or civic group. Thanks Scandinavia for inventing ombudsman.
