WDSRA: Summer vibes

-

Weather around here sure can be unpredictable. One day it feels like winter will never end and the next like spring is beckoning.

Well, here at the Western DuPage Special Recreation Association (WDSRA), we are already in full summer mode. Though it’s only March, we are shifting into summer programming and hiring.

Our summer camps brochure is online now at www.wdsra.com. We know parents are beginning to make summer plans for their children. At WDSRA, we are committed to making summer a great experience for every camper. Camps offer a blend of sports, games, crafts, swimming and a whole host of other fun activities.

Whether you’re looking to seamlessly extend beyond the school district’s summer schedule with inclusive transportation or opting for a full-day adventure with Friday Fieldtrips, we have you covered. Plus, there’s an Extended Camp for those seeking a few extra weeks of summer fun.

Summer camps seamlessly extend beyond the school district’s summer schedule and include transportation.

Our summer program brochure, featuring our traditional programs, will be available online in April. We’re thrilled to announce that, once again, we’ll be offering a diverse range of options, including both virtual and in-person programs. Be sure to explore the variety of engaging opportunities we have in store for this summer!

In addition, we are actively hiring for summer camps and regular summer programs. We’re looking for: head instructors, dedicated camp & program staff, inclusion staff, passionate coaches and more.

Between camps and regular programs, we will be hiring 75-100 staff. These are great jobs for high school and college students. We offer maximum flexibility for even the busiest students. It’s also perfect for anyone looking to supplement their current job.

Choose the number of hours per week, decide between days or evenings, and opt for weekdays or weekends – it’s all about what works best for you. Our commitments are designed for approximately 6-week intervals, providing unparalleled flexibility for our dedicated staff.

Extended Camp offers a few extra weeks of summer fun.

While experience is preferred, it’s not required – we believe in cultivating potential. Our training programs are designed to ensure every staff member is equipped for success. If you’re ready to be part of an exciting summer journey, we’d love to hear from you!

Summer job seekers need to APPLY NOW. We look for people who are enthusiastic, friendly and upbeat. Everyone, regardless of prior experience, is encouraged to apply. We train our program staff for the roles and responsibilities that lie ahead of them.

WDSRA offers competitive wages based upon level of education and experience. Applicants must be 15 years or older. Those under 15 years of age are encouraged to volunteer with a parent.

If you are interested, go to www.wdsra.com. Start by filling out an application under the JOIN OUR TEAM button. Make your summer great with WDSRA.
