On March 29, 2024 / Observe National Vietnam Veterans ‘Veterans Day’ in Veterans Park / Visit Gold Star Family Memorial Monument, 303 E. Gartner Road

Fifty-one years ago, United States Armed Forces officially left Vietnam on March 29, 1973. A 30-minute service in Veterans Park is planned at 10:30AM to pay tribute to all who bravely served in Vietnam and to 58,220 U.S. military fatal casualties, including 11 from Naperville, Illinois. The ceremony will be graced with music by the Chorus of DuPage as well as bagpiper Tom Brown. Buglers will play “Echo Taps,” followed by a rifle volley from the combined Honor Guard of the Judd Kendall VFW Post 3863 and American Legion Post 43. The community is invited to the observance.
