Every day basics… Dine Naperville!

During Washington Street Bridge and streetscape construction, find ways to the heart of downtown Naperville via Main Street, Eagle Street, Mill Street, Benton Avenue and Jefferson Avenue. (PN Photo)

Enter downtown Naperville along Main Street for a day of bargain hunting as stores offer clearance sales while making room for spring merchandise. While you’re there, take a break and head over to the Riverwalk Civic Plaza, Jackson Avenue at Webster, just across from Nichols Library. Note the historical plaque that indicates the Riverwalk celebrated its first 42 years on Sept. 7, 2023.

When strolling the Riverwalk, look for bronze plaques that help tell the story of this community’s can-do spirit to create the Riverwalk Park along the DuPage River. In 2021, dozens of commemorative plaques from Main Street to Jefferson Avenue were restored to readability with funds made available by the Riverwalk Foundation to enhance the community’s natural treasure.
