Naperville Responds announces new board members

-

Naperville Responds For Veterans welcomes three new individuals to its Board of Directors for 2024: James (Jim) Mittal, Edward Farmer, and Lynda Wehrli. Each brings unique experience and dedication to further the organization’s mission of supporting local veterans and their families.

James (Jim) Mittal, an accomplished veteran from the Illinois National Guard’s 182nd Air Support Group, joins Naperville Responds for Veterans Board with a specialization as an aircraft Maintenance Specialist on the Flight Line. With an Honorable Discharge and the rank of Sergeant #4, Jim’s dedicated service adds invaluable expertise to the Board.

Edward Farmer, a distinguished U.S. Army Veteran of Iraq brings a wealth of legal expertise to the Board. His extensive career has been dedicated to providing high-quality legal assistance to the veteran community, including handling VA disability appeals at various levels. Edward currently owns The Law Offices of Edward M. Farmer, specializing in assisting veterans with VA disability benefits and military discharge upgrades.

Lynda Wehrli, a lifelong resident of Naperville and licensed REALTOR, joins the Board with a deep understanding of the local community’s benefits. In addition to her real estate expertise, Lynda has actively served as a member of the Edward Hospital Foundation and the Blue Star Mothers of America, an organization supporting mothers with children serving in the military. With Lynda’s son actively serving, she brings a unique perspective to the group.

“We are thrilled to welcome James Mittal, Edward Farmer, and Lynda Wehrli to the Naperville Responds For Veterans family,” said Dan Jurjovec, President of Naperville Responds For Veterans. “Their wealth of experience, commitment, and passion for supporting local veterans will undoubtedly strengthen our mission. Together, we look forward to making a lasting impact on the lives of those who have served our country.”
