On Mon., Dec. 18, 2023, at approximately 8:50PM, Naperville Police were alerted to a retail theft in progress by an employee of Dick’s Sporting Goods, located in the 2700 block of W. 75th Street. The employee reportedly witnessed the suspects concealing merchandise and notified a Naperville officer who happened to be at the store following up on an unrelated case.
The suspects exited the store, activating the store’s security alarm, and were subsequently arrested.

Kionni Simmons, 22, of the 200 block of Nickolson Street in Joliet, is charged with felony burglary and felony retail theft.

Ada Jane Gregory, 25, of the 1400 block of Copperfield Avenue in Joliet, is charged with misdemeanor retail theft.
Both women were released on pre-trial release.
A third individual was arrested on an unrelated warrant.
The Naperville Police wish to remind the public and the news media that a charge is merely an accusation, and a defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
