The holidays cast their magical spell, inspiring gratitude and revelry. At the Western DuPage Special Recreation Association (WDSRA), we’re immersed in the spirit of the season!
Families kicked off the season at the Naperville Park District’s Santa’s Workshop – 55 families, 233 family members in all. They were able to spend a stress-free visit with the big guy in the red suit, take pictures and even receive a few goodies. We were thrilled to be a part of making those memories for families.
Our eagerly anticipated Holiday Dinner Dance is almost upon us. This evening features a sit-down dinner, a very popular DJ, and the opportunity to dance the night away with friends. Shh… there may be a surprise guest making an appearance. Participants and staff alike are sure to don their holiday finest for this event.
But wait, there’s more! We’ll soak in the enchanting Holiday Magic lights at Brookfield Zoo, where the dazzling displays create a world of wonder. At our Ugly Sweater Party we’ll sip on rich hot chocolate in our most outlandish sweaters. Embracing the cherished tradition of holiday baking, we’ll make memories together as we bake some favorite sweet treats. And of course, our virtual holiday caroling invites the whole family to join in the merry melodies!
Amidst these celebrations, staff will come together for our traditional holiday potluck—a moment to savor treats and cherish the bonds of camaraderie. These are the moments that fuel the spirit of #thebestplacetowork and #lovewhereyouwork at WDSRA.
With these joyous festivities and more, WDSRA brims with the spirit of the holidays.
