Above / Professional artists gathered to assist over 30 budding artist attendees during “Paint Your Pet” fundraising event to benefit Lizzy’s Fund.

Lizzy’s Fund is celebrating this occasion big time! Lizzy’s Fund is a local 501(c)(3) charity that financially supports senior dogs, aged 7 and older, that end up in shelters and rescues. These deserving dogs get the important medical car that they desperately need in order for them to get healthy and find their forever homes.
To celebrate senior pet month, all donations to Lizzy’s Fund will be generously 100% matched so donations go doubly far in helping the local senior dog population.
To kick off this year’s matching fund drive, Lizzy’s Fund held a “Paint Your Pet” event on October 22 at the A.D.O.P.T. Pet Shelter’s Training Center. The event was very well attended and featured five professional artists to assist over 30 budding artist attendees. Attendees provided a photo of their favorite pet and Lizzy’s artist transposed a sketch onto a blank canvas to assist in the start of their masterpiece. The artists then coached the individuals on refining their artwork.
In addition, there were seven donated raffle baskets. The attendance fees and raffle proceeds provided the kickoff for the matching fund drive this year. Pictures of the event are available on Facebook at www.facebook.com/lizzysfund.
