And PN marks 22 years…What’s the catch?
On Sept. 7, 2023, the Naperville Riverwalk will commemorate its first 42 years. The Dandelion Fountain in the Civic Plaza marks the spot for gathering along Jackson Avenue at Webster Street.
Plaques mounted on park benches and the covered bridge help tell the rich history of the City’s sesquicentennial gift to the community back when Mayor Chet Rybicki and businessman Jim Moser led the way. Dozens of bronze plaques all along the Riverwalk help recognize how folks “united in common purpose” to construct the serpentine brick path that now winds from the Jefferson Avenue Bridge to the Hillside Road Bridge.
Experience the sights and sounds that lead to shopping, dining and entertainment in downtown Naperville. Be mindful that “The people are the harvest of our heritage and the seeds of our future.”
Come catch this community’s can-do spirit. Volunteer when you can. Attend fundraisers. Support local businesses. Celebrate safely. That’s the catch!
