If you haven’t stopped by the Fry Family YMCA recently — or even if you have — there’s a lot of news to share about ongoing and upcoming programs and services!
First, a big thank you to the Naperville Police Department for their partnership on a very fun National Night Out event at the Y, including a bounce house, magician, movie night, and more. National Night Out is a nationwide event designed to strengthen neighborhood spirit and police community partnerships. Events such as cookouts, block parties and neighborhood walks all occur simultaneously throughout Naperville and across the nation. If you weren’t able to make it this year, put a note on your calendar now for late July / early August 2024. We partner with the Naperville Police Department each year on this effort, and it’s always a super fun, super community-focused event.
Coming up in September, we’ve got a handful of programs debuting or returning. Programs include small-group Pilates reformer classes; Swim League, a competitive swim program for youth who want to continue their swimming journey; Deep Water Fitness; our youth basketball league; and more.
I think I say this every month (because it’s true!), but there really is something for every age, every stage, and every ability at the YMCA.
Oh, and did I mention we also just added a whole bunch of brand-new, state-of-the-art spin bikes? We sure did! Come take one for a spin (hehe) at one of the Y’s many weekly cycle classes!
That’s a lot to keep track of! Don’t fret. You can always visit our website at fryfamilyymca.org or stop by the Fry Family Y for updates and more information.
And in addition to program updates and facility calendars, please also stay tuned to the website for some staff spotlights! As you may know, our leadership team at Fry Family Y is pretty new to our current roles (but definitely not new to the Y.), and we want our community to get to know us, either in-person or virtually — or both.
See you soon!
