Friday

Downtown Naperville Sidewalk Sales Day Two / All day in downtown Naperville / Downtown Naperville businesses are “taking it to the streets” for the annual summer sidewalk sales. Enjoy sizzling summer savings—inside and out—during these four special days, July 13-16.

Naper Nights Community Concert Series / 5-10PM Friday, July 14 & Saturday, July 15 at Naper Settlement – 523 S. Webster St. Naperville, IL 60540 / $20/adult (13+), $15/youth (4-12) / Get ready for cold drinks, great food, and fabulous music. Naper Nights celebrates historic milestones in music and pop culture with themed tribute concerts throughout the summer. On July 14, enjoy a Red Hot Chili Peppers tribute by Red NOT Chili Peppers and a tribute to Foo Fighters by Fooz Fighters. Chinese Storytime / 6:30PM at Nichols Library – 200 West Jefferson Ave., Naperville, IL 60540 / A special Family Storytime presented in Mandarin with stories, songs, and activities for all ages.

Live Music at Quigley’s Irish Pub / 8:30PM at Quigley’s Irish Pub – 43 E. Jefferson Ave. Naperville, IL 60540 / And Quigley’s Irish Pub features live music Thursdays thru Saturdays. Stop by for a pint, live music and honest pub fare. The patio is open!

Summertime on the Patios at Mesón Sabika / Find a choice in patios at Mesón Sabika to sample Spanish tapas and delicious sangria. Located just west of downtown Naperville at 1025 Aurora Avenue, Mesón Sabika has been serving the community since 1990. Built in 1847, the historic mansion with eight dining rooms is set in a beautifully landscaped four-acre estate, providing a welcoming sight with plenty of parking for lunch, dinner, special events, benefits, weddings, meetings and family gatherings throughout the year.

Naperville Farmers Market / 7AM to Noon at Fifth Avenue Station – 200 East 5th Ave. Naperville, IL 60540 / The Farmers Market runs June through November with June-November we host 50-plus vendors every Saturday 7AM-noon.

Brats at Kreger’s / 10AM to 3PM Fridays and Saturdays / Kreger’s Brat and Sausage Haus, 606 N. Ellsworth / Stop by for lunch, conversation and camaraderie. Pick up handcrafted bratwurst for the grill.

Open House Saturdays at HarborChase Naperville / 10AM to 2PM at HarborChase Naperville – 1619 N. Mill Street Naperville, IL 60563 / Tour the senior living facility on Naperville’s north side. Enjoy delicious refreshments including mimosas and beverages while perusing on-site eateries and attractive amenities. HarborChase Naperville is located at 1619 N. Mill Street. Lustgarten Pancreatic Cancer Research Walk / 8:30AM at the Riverwalk Grand Pavilion – 912 Honorary Sindt Memorial Ct. Naperville, IL 60540 / The 14th Annual Lustgarten Foundation Naperville Walk for Pancreatic Cancer Research is set for Sun., July 16, 2023, stepping off from the Riverwalk Grand Pavilion. Enjoy Centennial Beach, a summertime favorite in the heart of Naperville! / Find “The Beach” in the heart of Naperville at 500 W. Jackson Avenue.

Weather permitting, all ages find sunshine, sand and shade for summer fun every day in July at Centennial Beach, 500 W. Jackson Avenue, in the heart of Naperville. Stay safe, hydrated and cool. Residents and visitors welcome with fee for admission. (PN Photo, July 9, 2023)

Adult Floats at Centennial Beach are scheduled from 9AM to 10:55AM Saturday and Sunday. Ages 18 and older are welcome to relax with a swim, paddle or float. at 11AM, the popular recreational destination opens for all ages. Admission is charged.

Summer Sights along the Riverwalk / Now through Labor Day Weekend and then some… / The Paddleboat Quarry (with paddleboats and kayaks for rent at the Riverwalk Cafe where times for tours of Moser Tower also are available), Carillon Concerts (7PM Tuesdays) at the site of Moser Tower, Jaycees Playground and Centennial Beach now are open for the summer season. Stroll the winding Naperville Riverwalk available every day of the year from the Jefferson Avenue Bridge to the Hillside Road Bridge. And, of course, right now, passersby can pause to watch construction underway for rebuilding the Washington Street Bridge near Fredenhagen Park. Remember! With progress comes patience.

Concerts in Your Park / 7:30PM at Willoway Park – 1408 Jefferson Avenue Naperville, IL 60564 / Free of charge / Backward Forward Band will perform as part of the Concerts in Your Park series hosted by the Naperville Park District.
