Local custom picture framer Colbert Custom Framing & Art Printing has expanded its services by adding custom metal plate engraving to its products. Current materials available are silver aluminum, gold aluminum, black on silver, and black on gold. Engraved plates are available in custom sizes up to 12”x8”.
“We’ve always been able to source engraved plates to put on a mat or on the face of a frame,” said 3rd generation owner Stephanie Colbert Randall, “but bringing this service in-house opens up more opportunities for the customization and creativity that we’re known for.”
An engraved metal plate, completed with a diamond drag tool by the company’s CAD software-operated engraving machine, adds a touch of class to any custom framing job. Clients can include important information such as titles, names, dates, and more, on a beautifully engraved metal surface. Other customizable features are font style and font size. The talented Colbert team can make suggestions regarding custom aspects of engraved plates to bring about the best result on each order.
“This is yet another way we continue to provide “You’re Going To Love It’ to our clients,” added Colbert, who loves to tell clients’ stories and feature treasured artwork and items through custom framing, custom art printing, and now custom metal plate engraving.
