June events at Naper Settlement

Naper Settlement presents the following events and programs during June 2023. The museum is open Tuesday-Friday from 10AM-4PM with general museum admission $6 for adults (13+), $5 for seniors (62+), and $4 for youth (4-12). Naperville residents with proof of residency, children under 4, and members receive complimentary admission. Downtown Naperville Architecture Walking Tour

Thursday, June 8 & 29 • 5:30-6:30PM – $15/person; free for children under 4

Learn about the important and interesting architecture from the 1800s to today that makes downtown Naperville a beautiful place to live, work, and play. The tour lasts approximately 60 minutes and covers about two miles. Open to all ages. Pre-registration is required.

Fix It Friday Sewing Class with BERNINA of Naperville: Hemming and Mending Your Loved Jeans

Friday, June 9 • 8:30-10AM – $15/person (18+)

It is often an overlooked art to repair a loved garment, but it is easy, fast, and helps save money and the environment! In this class with BERNINA of Naperville, you will have hands-on training to hem jeans, darn holes, and preserve distressed denim so those holes do not get any larger. Must be 18+ to participate. Pre-registration is required.

Origins of Naperville Walking Tour

Thursday, June 15 • 5:30-6:30PM – $15/person; free for children under 4

Listen to stories from Naperville’s founding to the generosity of Caroline Martin Mitchell on a walking tour of the west side of downtown Naperville. The tour lasts approximately 60 minutes and covers about two miles. Open to all ages. Pre-registration is required.

Naper Nights Community Concert Series

Friday, June 16 & Saturday, June 17 • 5-10PM – $20/adult (13+), $15/youth (4-12)

Get ready for cold drinks, great food, and fabulous music! Naper Nights celebrates historic milestones in rock music and pop culture with themed tribute concerts throughout the summer. The concert series kicks off on June 16 with a Jimi Hendrix tribute by Taz Plays Hendrix and a tribute to soul music by The Midnight Sun Band. June 17 will include a tribute to Parliament Funkadelic by America Eats Its Young and a mix of Motown hits by Motown Nation. For more information and tickets, visit NaperNights.org.

Town and Gown Walking Tour

Thursday, June 22 • 5:30-6:30PM – $15/person; free for children under 4

Explore the east side of downtown Naperville and learn about the ways the community developed along with North Central College. The tour lasts approximately 60 minutes and covers about two miles. Open to all ages. Pre-registration is required.

Paint by Numbers (Beer)

Thursday, June 22 • 7-9PM – $20/adult (21+)

Relive your childhood with Paint by Numbers, only this time enjoy a drink as you fill in the canvas. Learn about the history of Paint by Numbers, get inspired by vintage examples, and take home your own painting. Must be 21+ to participate. A valid ID is required at event entry. Pre-registration is required.
