The Y – Bring on the May flowers

After an April full of many showers here in the Naperville area, we’re definitely looking forward to some beautiful May flowers!

That’s not to say April was all dreary, of course! Here at the Fry Family YMCA, we’ve had (and have!) a lot to feel sunny about.

Thank you to our members, friends, and neighbors who joined us for Healthy Kids Day 2023 at the Fry Family YMCA. We had the absolute best time participating in the Jr. NBA skills challenge, hanging out with therapy dogs, enjoying nutritious, delicious snacks, and meeting new Naperville Mayor Scott Wehrli, who led a great community storytime!

At Healthy Kids Day, we also made sure to share information about YMCA Day Camp, which is coming up very, very soon. And as a reminder, if you haven’t had a chance to register your youth for 2023 YMCA Day Camp, now is the time! At the Fry Family Y and across the YMCA of Metro Chicago, we expect most of our day camp slots to fill, so get that registration in soon!

You can visit fryfamilyymca.org or ymcachicago.org/daycamp to review our interactive e-brochure and to register. Don’t hesitate to stop by our front desk with questions or for assistance registering.

And by the way, did I mention that we’re working hard right now to hire counselors, aquatics staff, and professionals for all kinds of roles at the Fry Family YMCA? If you’re interested in a fun, enriching, and fulfilling position — part-time, full-time, seasonal, or permanent — you should definitely take a peek at ymcachicago.org/careers. Regardless of your role at the Y, you will teach life skills, encourage healthy and safe behaviors, and create a positive experience for Naperville individuals and families. Plus, a Y membership is an included benefit!

Thank you again to the Naperville community for your continued support of the Fry Family YMCA and the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago. We appreciate you, and we hope to see each of you walk through our doors again soon.
