The DuPage County Historical Society is reprinting its 1983 title, DuPage Roots, Then and Now, with modern updates.
Local historian Bryan Ogg made five contributions in the form of updates for the Naperville, Glen Ellyn, and Roselle histories. In addition to these chapters, he also researched and wrote about the communities of Bartlett and Burr Ridge.
The book is 400 pages, hardback only with dust cover. It is profusely illustrated with black and white and four-color pictures, maps, and charts.
The cover art was taken from the Morton Arboretum’s recent Human+Nature installation and could not be more appropriate, Ogg said.
For anyone who loves history, this book ($70) is sure to please. All proceeds will benefit the DuPage County Historical Society.
DuPage Roots is featured at dupagehistory.org/bookstore.
Looking forward, the new Of the Earth art exhibition opens May 26, 2023, at the Morton Arboretum and will remain through spring 2025.
