Naperville Responds For Veterans hosted its annual “Strength and Honor” Luncheon on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, to honor and give thanks to Veterans.
The Luncheon, held at Bobak’s Signature Events in Woodridge, featured guest speaker 1SG (ret), US Army Matthew P. Eversmann.
In August of 1993, Eversmann and his company deployed to Mogadishu, Somalia, in support of Operation Gothic Serpent. His inspiring story of survival was immortalized in the epic film, Black Hawk Down, which recounts the harrowing experience.
Boutonnières identify all who served in the U.S. Military. Thanks to sponsorships, for more than a decade, the annual event has provided a complimentary lunch to Veterans and First Responders.
