Nature artist Jill Adzia will demonstrate the scratchboard drawing technique during a presentation from 1:30PM to 3PM on Saturday, April 22, at the Naperville Fine Art Center & Gallery, 508 N. Center Street. Space is limited. The demonstration is free of charge.

The demo will introduce scratchboard art to teens and adults. It is a form of engraving on a black or colored clayboard to produce dramatic effects. The tools involved are user-friendly. Methods such as hatching/crosshatching and stippling for texture will be introduced in the demo.
Adzia has been combining art and nature since childhood. She is certified in Botanical Art & Illustration through the Morton Arboretum and has been a featured artist in the Nature Artist Guild show.

Going forward, 4-week class available for ages 16 and up
Individuals ages 16 and older who are interested in going deeper into the scratchboard drawing technique can register for a 4-week class to be held on Thursdays, 6-8PM on May 4, 11, 18 and 25, also at the Naperville Fine Art Center & Gallery. The cost for four classes is $140. All skill levels welcome.
