WVHS Band Boosters Craft Fair / The 16th Annual Band Boosters Craft Fair and Vendor Showcase will be held at Waubonsie Valley High School from 9AM to 3PM on Sat., March 18, 2023. Waubonsie Valley High School is located at 2590 Ogden Avenue at Eola Road.

Chicago Sinfonietta UNAPOLOGETIC / 8PM at Wentz Concert Hall – 171 E Chicago Ave. Naperville, IL 60540 / $17-67 / Celebrate the unapologetic wonder of women during our March concert. Opening the concert, Tania Leon’s work, “Stride” – awarded the 2021 Pulitzer Prize – was originally commissioned as part of a project to commemorate the historic 19th Amendment that gave American women the right to vote and is inspired by the pioneering feminist Susan B. Anthony. Next on the program is one of the historic Florence Price works that was discovered in an abandoned house in Illinois, “Violin Concerto No. 2.” This rarely performed work is brought to the stage with the esteemed violinist Rachel Barton Pine. The second half of the concert features “Scheherazade,” a symphonic masterwork inspired by the well-known fairytale of a heroine who changed fate through her wisdom and courage. Naperville Municipal Band Winter Concert / 3PM Sun., March 19 at Neuqua Valley High School – 2360 95th St, Naperville, IL 60564 / Free / Come out to enjoy the sounds of the Naperville Municipal Band and the Neuqua Valley Wind Ensemble for a free concert at Neuqua. (Kindly note this Sunday’s concert will be the final indoor concert until the annual Thursday Evening Concert Series begins in springtime this year in Central Park. The first outdoor concert will be the first Thursday in June 2023. Save the date! Watch for details about the June 1, 2023, Municipal Band Concert coming soon!)
