The Naperville American Legion will host a social-dinner Sat., Feb. 18, at the Judd Kendall VFW Post 3873.

The social hour begins at 6PM and dinner will follow at 7PM. The American Legion Post holds monthly dinners from September through April with specific themes for each dinner. The public is welcome.

This month the post will be honoring first responders, firefighters and police officers.

The buffet dinner will be catered by Mission BBQ. The menu will include Pulled Pork, Pulled Chicken, Sausage, Macaroni and Cheese, Green Beans, Baked Beans, and Cornbread.

The cost is $15 per person, $7 for kids, and dinner is free for children under 6. Kindly pay at the door with advance reservations. Members of the community are welcome to attend.

The deadline for reservations is Wed., Feb. 16. For more information or to make a reservation, contact Gary Michalowski – Call/Text/Email at (630) 988-0106 or gmichalowski@sbcglobal.net.

The VFW Post is located at 908 W. Jackson Avenue, with plenty of parking at the rear of the building.

Meanwhile, also save the dates for future socials. In March, the theme is St. Patrick’s Day and the dinner will be held again on the third Saturday of the month. In April, the dinner will recognize the American Legion Citizen of the Year on Sat., April 15.
