Downtown Naperville welcomes Halloweeners to discover special treats, create memories

-

Here are a few photos from the 2022 Halloween Hop!

Kids loved giving thumbs up and high fives for the beautiful morning and a chance to pose with the downtown Naperville beat Officer Colton Parchem. Thanks to all for keeping our community safe.

It’s a beautiful day for annual Halloween Hop! from 10AM to Noon

Walk this way and enjoy the Riverwalk, too!

Downtown Naperville’s annual Halloween Hop is slated from 10AM to Noon today, Sun., Oct. 23, with a call out for ghouls, goblins, ghosts, witches, storybook characters and super heroes. (Note date is earlier than usual.)

Families can dress up in their costumes, visit downtown businesses and kids can grab gobs of goodies.

Kids dressed like Dorothy and the Scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz demonstrate “There’s no place like home.”

What costume will be the favorite? How many families will dress to a theme? Can ghosts be friendly?

Dozens of merchants will open early to hand out Halloween treats and surprises during the free event.

After noon, save a little time to dine in downtown Naperville. Shoppers are welcome, too. Or simply enjoy the beautiful autumn day and do some window shopping throughout the heart of Naperville to see what’s new and coming soon.

Dog Days of summer may be over, but patio days of autumn for well-behaved pets and their best friends continue at Quigley’s Irish Pub, 43 E. Jefferson Avenue, weather permitting.

Inside find what all the regulars call “EDAQ” camaraderie every day at Quigley’s with classic Irish fare, bar bites and cold beverages. Families in costume may stop by for treats to celebrate Halloween Hop from 11AM to noon on Sun., Oct. 23. Sláinte!

Check in for Halloween Hop at Top Fashion (corner of Main Street/Jackson Avenue) – for a map of participating businesses (while supplies last). Enjoy fun fall festivities with youngsters!

Shops and restaurants welcome your business all day, too!
